LiftTraks, manufactured by On-Board Communications, attaches to the lift truck and reports engine hours daily to the dealer or customer. </div> <div> <p />The low cost, easy-to-install LiftTraks unit attaches to the lift truck in about 1 hour. Engine hours are reported via an On-Board supplied network to a secure web site for customer access. When service becomes due, LiftTraks will automatically email notification to designated employees </div> <div> <p /> Using LiftTraks, dealers have found they can reduce service costs up to fifty percent, said Sean Manuel, Manager of Material Handling for On-Board Communications.  Many dealers have lowered the number of maintenance calls from twelve per year to just six, continued Manuel,  and this frees service personnel to perform other higher revenue generating tasks. In addition, customers benefit by lowering their costs for preventive maintenance programs. </div> <div> <p />Another savings is in managing overtime costs. Utilization summary reports provide a manager with fleet information that previously may have taken countless hours to prepare. What previously took hours, LiftTraks can do in minutes. </div> <div> <p />LiftTraks also helps dealers proactively manage long- and short-term rentals by remotely reporting usage hours.
